So i havent had issues until this trip with drink service. My go to drink is Makers Mark and Coke. Its what I want to drink. I dont want anything else. So at lower properties I undersatnd not getting it. So Aria needs the cocktail waitress to get the pit critters to comp it. And when first ordering it they will bring something else instead of saying you cant get that. The cocktail waitress must also go to another bar as apparently they have taken away the ability of the service bars to serve any "premium liqour". The pit critters say they sign off on it no problem but still what a fuckin aggravation. But on the bright side since I do tip well they were coming before I asked and were all strong. I was playing $100 min table. Glad I took Aria for a lot of cash this trip. Before I was playing bj at MGM in Whiskey Down so never an issue. Even on MGM main floor I would get it due to being close to hi limit slots. So way to go execs. Way to nickle and dime. I can see my gambling trips dimish as I only gamble while I drink. I know not the smartest but thats what I like and if you take it away Ill just not go

Wow, even for Maker's? I've had the CW run a really high-end drink request (think Johnnie Walker Blue or a good single malt) by a pit boss before, but doing it for Maker's seems really tight.

Since you are OK with a $100 min table, next trip try the Salon Prive at the Bellagio. They have an impressively well stocked bar in the back with a dedicated bartender and CW. No hassles with top-shelf requests for players.

Short story about how I know this. A few trips ago, the table is cold in the pit by the host office, so Mrs. Tesla and I decide to try our luck in the Salon Prive. It's not often you can find a $100 min table in there, but they had one this night so I slither into a seat. Three hands into the shoe, the CW walks up and asks if we want a drink. Mrs. Tesla volunteers to walk back to the bar to check out the selection. 10 minutes later (WTF woman, where's my drink? lol) she and the CW come back with a Macallan 18 for me, and I forget what she got. Apparently the conversation went something like this:

Mrs. Tesla: "Can I get a Macallan 18 for my husband playing over there?"
Waitress: "You know he (the bartender) has the 25 back there too."
Mrs. Tesla: "I saw that, but I think I the 18 is better than the 25."
Bartender (overhearing conversation): "I'm impressed! I don't get many ladies with good taste in single malt scotch in here."
Mrs. Tesla: "I'll have to introduce you to some - my friends are serious scotch drinkers too." (this is not BS)

Bartender and Mrs. Tesla geek out about scotch for 5 minutes. He and the waitress become our new best friends for the night and even though I got felted, the loss was somewhat made up for by us putting away ~300 bucks worth of high-end scotch between the two of us.

Aria hi limit tables were $500 as I walked through. It was a saturday night. And they don't know me to lower the limits as they have done before at MGM.

Wow, getting approval for makers is rough... I usually drink macallan net, couple weeks ago at Wynn the some of the pours were highly suspect... one was laughably small (<.5 oz).. but at least it was macallan and didn't require a complete slip for 12... you used to be able to drink gallons of 18 at the $100min tables the pit would always sign off, but even that isn't an easy comp anymore at the light black chip level

Yeah it is nickle and diming, but as in everything it is saving them money which makes them more I guess. NAd make that stock go up so the execs get their bonus. They told me specifically they had to order at the bar. The service bar was crushed ice and I had big square cubes. And the glassware was better. Never saw what the slip looked like as I didn't care. I don't think she minded after the first drink as I was winning and tipping generously.
