anybody else get this invite?

yet again, it's a ridiculously lame format.

you have to win your table to get $15k and advance to the finals.

then at the finals they pay out $350k in a WTA format.

the only part of the tourney that's even partially decent is the "Elite Shootout" which to qualify for you have to have a 400k single trip loss or 800k total loss in the last 12 months.

it's the same format except the winner gets 50k and a finals seat and second place at the table also advances to the finals.

but yet again the normal segment of the tourney is trash and only the AQ portion is worth anything. how much you want to bet they will have rebuys and addons galore? where you basically have to invest a couple thousand to even have a chance against everyone else.

 

yeah, this came along with a bunch of others within the last week. I must have got 5-6 tourney mailers within the past 2 weeks.

I only play these if I happen to be going that weekend anyway. I am out of town on this particular weekend.

 

I would just look at it as a single-table $15K WTA freeroll. So sure I would definitely take a bite at the apple... no rebuys though.
After making it to the finals I would just play in Maniac-Defense mode for a few levels then super aggro, as befits a WTA format. Thus either running over everybody, or burning out quickly in which case I'm off to enjoy my free $15K!
