The issue with Salmon is not where they broke free from their sex pods, it's where and how they mature. Natural cold water Salmon can be poured in by Dept of Natural Resources/ Dept Environmental Conservation etc by the 10's of thousands and they were all farm hatched.

The difference is that these newly introduced "hatchery fish" will grow to 12-30 pounds on natural food sources and not via feed pellets that resemble cattle grain and smell like week old fishbones. True farm raised fish, whether catfish, salmon or tilapia, all have that God awful grain taste in their flesh.
