Obviously im talking about simple Las Vegas Degenerate types like me.. We wouldn't harm anyone or steal from anyone. We might stay up for 72 straight gambling, drinking, doing hookers, blow and there might even be a cucumber involved but we would never do any of the above.

There could be a multitude of reasons. For instance, one reason Shifter is a Las Vegas Degen is due to his 25 trips a year to Lost Wages. Who goes to Lost Wages 25 times or more a year? I know Shifter has many other reasons why he is a DEGEN but i will leave that for him to tell. Or it could be a person like PPHOLD who makes reservations at 7 different properties every other weekend and stays in each property 1 sometimes 2 rooms in a night! Could be someone like MsBlackjax who can unbelievably sit a a table for 50 hours over 5 days and not lose a million! It could be someone like Nate who at the end of his trips unbelievably gets all his money back in rebates! (Smartest man in the world) It also could be someone like PayTriple who... Well you all know what he does! It might be me who goes to VEGAS 15 times a year gets 8k in comps a weekend, brings many friends each time, meets VB people, orchestrates get together s, stays up all night only to roll onto the golf course at 7am, see shows, get arrested for jumping in the Caesars fountain, (That was many years ago. And only once!) and is willing to lose 25k each weekend. I have more dont worry...

Is it losing your whole bankroll the first hour you are there?
Is it drinking til you pass out wake up and start in on the bloody Mary's at breakfast? (Assuming you aren't an alcoholic)
Are you a Las Vegas DEGEN because you check grab a hooker or gigolo (For the ladies) and never leave the room for two days?
Is it playing 3 card poker, war or the big wheel?
Is it hitting on a girl in front of the Bellagio fountains drunk out of your mind only to take her up to the room and you glance over and see her standing up peeing?
Is it sitting at a penny slut machine for 2 days in a row?
Is it when you go up to your friend and say it's time for dinner as he is playing bj and you can't pry him away from the table then come back to the same table asking him the same thing at 8am for breakfast as he is sweating and twitching?
Is it losing money you can't afford to lose?
Is it seeing Elton John for the 10th time or seeing a Cirque du Soleil show for the 40th time?
Is it burning through your credit line and then going to the bank before it closes to get more money?
Is it going to the atm at 11:59pm and again at 12:01am 3 days in a row?
Is it keeping busy 21 hours a day? ie.. Going to breakfast, lunch and dinner, hoover dam, redrocks, downtown, strip, visiting 10 hotels/casinos, checking out pawn stars, going to the pinball HOF, walking the strip and all in 2 days?

My esthetician's friend applied for various credit cards and eventually got like $30-40k in credit limits. She then created two Paypal accounts and used the "send friends money" feature to send money from one account to the other. This money was sent with the credit cards and thus was able to get around the cash advance limits. Once she had the money in the second account, she used a Paypal debit card to withdraw the money at an atm and to purchase money orders at the post office. She then cashed the money orders and hit the slots!


I believe that she filed for bankruptcy over a year ago

I'm sure you know I wouldn't change anything the way we do Vegas. Well maybe just one change and that's me actually getting some rest without wearing myself out the rest of the trip.

As I always say, there's something in the air, time change or an adrenaline rush that keeps me awake.

To answer your question, I'm a Vegas degen and am very happy with how I/we spend our time there and would never change that.

 

Well, I am a Degenerate.

I have always loved Vegas, but was not a Vegas Degen till about 12 years ago. I am almost 50, and had actually kept it together quite well for my first 37 years. yes I still was out of control for my annual 3-4 day trips, but always kept my gambling budget around 1k.

Then I moved from Nebraska to Southern California to run a company,but just a mere 4 hours from Vegas. Palm Springs to Vegas via the desert shortcut would get me there in 3 1/2. I suddenly was meeting every friend who traveled to Vegas for their trips.

I even starting taking my infant( until age 3) child with me, so friends/family could see my boy. On occasion, we would head out for the local grocery store in the morning, and end up in Vegas for the weekend. Just me and the kid in the car seat sleeping. Did you know that you can call the concierge and get a certified day care provider sent to your room. Yep, $15 bucks a hour minimum of 4 hours. Book it with the hotel, and a nice FBI cleared grandma shows up at your room with her knitting supplies and childrens books. Then bad daddy goes to play for 4-8 hours. Then come back sleep for a few hours, and call the concierge for another Grandma. repeat. as needed.

Well 3 years of this and 20 trips later, I thought, taking a job back in Nebraska and getting my boy ready for school was a lifesaving remedy for my Vegas addiction.

The last 10 years, have just been grinding away at raising the next great dice controller. (just joking), and sneaking to Vegas 1 or 2 times a year. Still have that desire to do more trips, but these websites keep me from going all pphold and booking on a whim.

I am back in 5 days and cant fucking wait.

 

For me its the countless hours I spend gambling on a trip without sleep. Gambling for way longer than should be done by any normal human HAHA. Sleep is a crutch when you're in Vegas! Why sleep when you can play Craps?

Wagering 500-1000 as you sit down and the next several bets table max all while having a glass of veuve in each hand and a cig hanging out of your mouth! Lol... Classic stuff! Oh, and you win!!
