    Two questions.....
Man, these casinos are borderline prejudiced. It Ive seen this a lot so not surprised at all but shifty Shifters invite to the Bacc tournament at Wynn says... Latin, Europe and middle east marketing. What about us? I have to call and beg to be invited. Only 75 players so they obviously wont give me a seat. They cater to and give much better "Programs" to non us living folks.. Hey, i will lose just as much as some non us clients. And i will be in Vegas losing 25k a weekend 13 more times than a person traveling from Europe, Asia etc... I Don't really get that mentality.

Just like i dont get how casinos are catering less to gamblers? WE ALL LOSE MONEY! They are going to make a profit no matter what. Why take down the odds, take out tables, PGP, make the comp system harder for us to go, make us play longer, sometimes we have to pull teeth for stuff and so on?

Well I think they have larger marketing budgets because they know domestic degens are going to show up anyway vs someone from China that can hit Macau/Singapore/etc easier than Vegas. The hosts can grab players that are not from that region if they want, at Wynn I guess I'm under international/Latin America even though I'm US born, never lived outside the us, and of German/northern euro descent

The 75 invites will be to the highest of high rollers, everyone else gets waitlisted. Even I am coded to Latin American marketing at the Wynn (because my host is head of that dept). The usual $25 k players don't get into these tournaments as these tourneys are structured to get the high rollers into town, where they can dump a lot of money. these tourneys are not organized for players who are coming into town anyway. They want the overseas customers to make a trip into town for these tournaments when they would not ordinarily be coming.

each casino has different departments and they run their own tournaments for their players.

Far East runs Bacc tourneys because the Asians play Bacc. Latin American runs BJ usually. Domestic runs BJ/Poker.

it's harder to get into a tournament run by a different department because they control the entrants and they want to hold out spots for their players, obviously.

the same way you can get in a tournament at any MGM property staying at any other MGM property, but it's much harder to get AQ in a tournament at a different property. it's all up to their discretion and they want to save AQ to entice big players to stay with them, so they generally are a bitch to get done.

the same way MGM controls the tickets for events/fights at the Arena and so they hold all the best tickets for their players. it's much harder to get great seats staying at B or Aria than it is if you're staying at MGM.

you can say it's the same company or even the same property, but they all need to show numbers for their bosses. it's the corporate mentality. there's no "we're all team" mentality, only watching your own back.

This is so true. And it makes no sense when you're serving the same bottom line. You could create better, more useful competition by having cooperation.

Not necessarily true. The best tickets go to the best players based on Corporate play.

After that, A corporate team who handles ticketing will evenly (as best as they can) distribute the rest of the tickets to the properties to handle. Now the difference between these tickets at Bellagio vs ARIA vs MGM are insignificant, we are talking about a one or two row difference.
