Well no matter which board you're on, these things come up and people are interested. Once we have a resort fee thread, it will be complete!;)

I think we covered that early on, just got it on out of the way. Look below the "$20 'trick'" thread. ;)

Don't forget about a coupon thread. Don't be a hater I do use them. I am known to be cheap and will turn around and splurge on the same trip.

Don't worry I won't start a coupon exchange thread here. I am sure I would be tarred and feathered. Maybe Coupon should be the new ***** word here. And, I don't fold my coupons.

I can start that if you want :). While I don't like the fees, I really don't care either. Its cheaper to stay in the Bellagio with the fees than some Motel 8 turned into a Hamton Inn near my moms house in Florida. hell the Hyatt down there is $400 a night and the room isn't even nice.

Always cracks me up how folks claim how secretive they are yet they've posted 2,435 times online railing against them.

I don't know about this. I've seen bed bugs stand on each others backs until they form a bed bug ladder and climb out of the tub.

I tip the cocktail waitress $20 the first time she comes around and $10 every time thereafter. All of you cheap bastards make it harder on these poor gals. How would you like to walk around in pantyhose and heels all day for a lousy dollar tip?

I travel extensively (once a month to Vegas for 25 years) and I've never seen a bed-bug. I'm not saying they don't exist, but IMHO always seem to infest or attack those that seem to have issues with everything else as well. They complain about hair in the drain, blood on the sheets, used condoms in the drawer, etc, again... all things I've never seen. I don't give the room a boot-camp inspection, though I do make sure the TV and the A/C both work prior to unpacking and I did find a $100 black gaming token in the back on my in-room safe once.

Yes, I've seen the black-light scan of a hotel room on 20/20 or Dateline before and how awful the TV remote always looks under it, but frankly, I'd like to see what my house looks like under the same black light! We don't change our sheets or towels daily, nor do we clean the shower or bathrooms daily. I had a lady pull 2 of the wipes they have at WalMart the other day to wipe down the shopping-cart handles and she went to hand the extra one to me. I politely said, "I'm good" and proceeded to get a lecture all the way over to the produce aisle where I lost her. She's the type that gets bedbugs... NOT me.
