Looking forward to Death Valley pics. My wife and I have a similar itinerary every trip as yours. We try to see sights off the strip almost every year. We haven't done Death Valley yet, but have driven to LA. We've done Red Rock many times, Hoover dam many times and Valley of Fire. We also are collecting chips to put on our bar top. We have to hit a bunch of less than glamorous off strip properties for chip which should be interesting.

Thanks Jonny. We have a lot of off strip properties as well but I was surprised at some of the strip properties. We've been there but haven't acquired a chip yet. That'll change this trip.

We've done VoF, Hoover, Zion and Grand Canyon. We like to use the excuse that Vegas is the base of our operations which makes it easy to visit all these fun parks and places

 

Made it to DTW and now sitting in my favorite place to watch planes. The skyclub at the c concourse.

At airport. Wife got her known traveler number finally so security was easy. Upgraded her boarding pass for $40 so now she's A2 and I won't worry about not having room for her bag since she was B41.
