Looking for reviews on LAVO Casino Club and couldn't find anything on the board - sorry if I missed it.

I'm all about being at a BJ or Craps Table as much as possible and this concept seems like a perfect way to keep the wife happy while doing it.

We're not the Tao/Omnia/Hakkasan types anymore but we still like to go out and get good drinks/listen to live music or a DJ.

LAVO CC seems to have it all - gambling, fancy drinks for the wife, nightlife atmosphere, and food (the full menu from the restaurant downstairs).

Any tips on going? Get there early so get a good spot? Any other places on the strip like this that you would recommend?

I'm going to assume the BJ table is probably 6/5 but I hope I'm wrong.

I got an offer for it and I need to try it. Probably a good place for me to play tables too.

I have a tip if you're a sports fan (of any sport) and you're planning a visit to Lavo.
Time your visit so a game you're interested in is on either immediately before, or immediately after, your visit.
At game time, take the escalator in front of Lavo down 1 level to "Lagasse's Stadium".
By far, it's the best sports book environment in town. It used to be Jay-Z's "40-40" nightclub and has been converted to an ultra high end sportsbook with 100+ giant screen TVs (they will put any game you want on the TVs) and tailgating-style food by Emeril Lagasse. My fave is the buffalo wings good grief they are great!
The venue also just won the Best Sportsbook in Las Vegas award.

Thanks Vegasgroove. I am a huge fan of sports books. I made the trek over to Westgate last trip just to see the superbook. Definitely adding Lagasses Stadium to the list

I love Lagasse's Stadium. The burgers and wings and fries are really good. I usually stop in there every other trip for food.

We go to Westgate with our local LV friends on Sunday's to watch the games often during football season. The hotel and Casino may not be somewhere I'd want to stay but it's a great place to watch the games.

Ok we're back - here's my thoughts on LAVO Casino Club.

    Atmosphere:

Great atmosphere. Dark speakeasy vibe going on. When you walk in, there's a bar and then a sunken area (maybe 4 steps) with about 20 tables. After passing through the table area, there's the gaming area which is elevated (even with the bar area). Over very cool and chic

    Food/drinks:

The food is the full menu from The restaurant downstairs. The meatball was great, as to be expected. Wife had the wedge salad and it was swimming in dressing. She wasn't a fan. I had the truffle and mushroom gnocchi - it was just okay. Lots of garlic and mushrooms and just a handful of gnocchi. We did drink a few of their signature drinks and they were great.

Gaming: I think there were 4 blackjack tables, 1 roulette table, and one small craps table. We played Blackjack for a few shoes and it was a $15 table with 6/5 BJ. The craps table was an 8' table with only 2x odds. It also came complete with a newbie who kept trying to throw the dice through the back wall lol. Also just a heads up - we got seated and ordered their signature drinks. When we started playing, our waitress asked if we wanted another drink. We both replied that we would. She then let us know that there's a $14 limit on drinks while playing, and the signature drinks didn't qualify. We were fine with this, but just thought I'd mention it.

Overall it was a very cool place to check out. I wouldn't go back with just the wife and I, but I think that if we had 3 or 4 couples, this would be a perfect place. Girls can talk, drink foo foo drinks, and order appetizers while the guys play a little bit and come back once in a while to munch on some food.

We talked to a bachelorette party that was there and they said they got a really good deal by buying a package on the website. Something like 2 bottles, special tasting menu from the chef, and VIP entry into TAO later that night for about $100 per person. Not too shabby of a pre-game spot if that's the case..

Hard4, if you're still @ Palazzo there is a fun event about to begin, it will be live Lip Sync Battles with the UFC fighters! downstairs at Lagasse's Stadium. Starts at 6pm
