5 Pairs in the past month. Yesterday had a $250.00 brand new pair, end of day......ruined. Oh well, charge it to the client for 'depletables', I guess.

Fuel and chemicals got in them, my fault. I should have wore what they call 'Haz-Max' Boots. just uncomfortable on the roadway, pain in the ass to keep switching every time coming up from the ditch side.

Hydrophobic will repel water, not the hydrocarbon-bearing liquids and other chemicals.

Yep, past the water staining which my experience generally comes out with a good gentle detergent. These are ruined. First day. LOL.

Why not wear muck boots Glen? I wear mine everywhere around the house. Winter and summer and they haven't leaked yet. Lol They are red with chickens on them and also lots of chicken and peafowl poop! ;)

All of the rubber/muck type boots are very uncomfortable while walking on the highway, especially when it is non-snow, non-ice. In the ditch and then up on the highway, 3 to 5 dozen times, too much changing. We have Haz-Mat type boots, but also uncomfortable on the roadway---hard to walk, flimsy, etc.

I buy a brand called Sloggers. One of my friends is an artist and she did the designs for their new line. I love them and super comfy. The have them for children too and they have saved me a ton in preventing my littles from ruining their tennis shoes and sandals.
