It is my 5 year anniversary the son is with grandma and grandpa, so we snuck out of town. Small budget of $500 for the nnight. I usually get good mailers from Ameristar of $200 freeplay $100 food and free rooms. Booked a "suite" a month ago and waited on the mailer. Well we got here today and still no mailer. Hit up the host who informed me their new rules are if you have no play in 6 months they stop the offers. Asked for a dinner comp and was told no, so off to a bad start.

Pissed off leaving the host office I bought in Ata blackjack table for $100 and last hand of a double deck shoe was up $500. Dinner reservations in an hour chilling in the room to watch the derby till then.

Normally doubling the roll is a win and I slow down, but playing one shoe is hard. Dinner soon that will cost around $100, probably lock up my $500 and gamble with what's left.

So never knowing when to quit I took the full 1k down to gamble. Lost it all but my last $40. Somehow turned that $40 into $500 making me even on the day. I qhit.

 

Lucky and good call quitting now : ) I've never played in KC but have considered a quick weekend trip. I'd have been so pissed I'd likely have gone to a competitor. Screw that shit.
