I'm wrapping up a vacation in Spain and spent yesterday with a hangover that could stop a horse. I read in trip reports that Pedialyte is the answer. We're going on a cruise in October (NCL's Jade around the Mediterranean) and have of course purchased the premium drink package. We're going to be doing daily excursions and I don't want to be struggling. Is this really the best stuff to prevent hangovers? How do you take it? What is your unique hangover cure? Getting old sucks. I turned 30 in December. 10 years ago I would have laughed at a thread like this.
Pedialyte works! Just drink one or two before bed and it really helps. Also remember to drink lots of water by alternating with your alcoholic beverages. Also doesn't hurt to wake up and start again right away with a Bloody Mary! Some people like to pop a couple Advil before bed too, but I just stay drunk as Gamesman mentioned.
There are no hangover cures, only expedited recoveries, and the "secret" is hydration with water and replacement of the good chemicals and what not you need in your system. Those two can happen in many ways and forms. A big rich breakfast and two good shits also are in order.
Pedialyte and hot chips or hot fries is my hangover remedy. The blackberry Pedialyte isn't half bad either. I'm a lot older than you so it should definitely help you. I drink some before bed and some in the morning while I eat an entire bag of hot chips. Lol
That's why menudo is so good. You can barf up the guts part but you get all that good broth and chiles.
Sounds like good stuff. Does Walmart or other retail stores in the US carry it or can it only be ordered online?
