    All,

With only mere hours (40 but who's counting!) until the start of my next Vegas adventure I figure I'm justified in starting a TR.

I will be in town from the 30th June to the 3rd July and would welcome the chance of meeting up with fellow VB'ers to ease me into my first solo experience.

Whilst this trip is a short hop over the pond for a brief fling with the Cosmo I plan to make the most of it., The reason for travelling is that was never originally planned however due to I need to maintain my OneWorld status and a great offer of a $1300 business class airfare (Current FX!) it was an opportunity too good to turn down. That and I have a very understanding wife for letting me go.

My journey to Vegas is going to be slightly torturous due to take advantage of the airfare on offer. My route will be as follows.

    LON to DUB
    DUB to LON
    LON to LAS

The total travel time will be about 22 hours from start to finish, luckily with business class I should get a good chunk of sleep on the plane after a whiskey or two.

I'm staying at Cosmo on an upfront Comp in a One Bedroom Terrace with $200 FP, can't wait to try out the Japanese soaking tub and relieve myself from the stresses of work for a few days.

I will try to maintain a good TR even though it's such a short trip, the main reasons being because 1.) this should be a different sort of gambling trip for me with more Table play than normal 2.) my wife loves reading TR's so will be living my journey with me via this thread, so keep it relatively clean (PT!).

I don't really have much in the way of plans apart from keeping most of my eating at play at the Cosmo due to Heat / Tight Timelines and to keep getting offers to return to , in my opinion, the nicest casino on the strip. However, as always things are open to change and I will go where the wind takes me during the weekend.

I will start updating in real time from my 4:45am cab journey to the airport so you can hopefully experience my travels as I do, unfortunately BA don't have Wifi so no onboard updates but I've booked a car to pick me up on the other side to make my arrival smoother.

I'm still debating wether or not to enter the 50K in a day tournament at PH on the Friday to test my real world poker skills given I play so much online. Hangovers will determine the outcome of that one I feel!

Hopefully I will see a few of you over there , even though it's only 40 hours away it feels like a lifetime right now !

I will be hoping for more of this...

Have a fantastic trip! I know you'll fall in love with being in Vegas solo (sorry Mrs RTG10). There will be a bunch of VBers in town as well and I'm sure you'll be able to meet up with them. @Chess is also staying at Cosmo. Be on the lookout for Grizzly Adams twin. Subscribed.

Wow, a lot of travel, but free booze always makes up for it. Just like at the tables! Good luck, safe travels, and you'll have a great time solo. Vegas is one of those cities where you never meet a stranger.

Good luck and I'll be following along! The flight is long but the final destination makes it much more bearable! Safe travels!

    Re: Japanese Soaking Tub

It's similar to a hot tub style. Can't lay back and relax. Room for two. I personally do not recommend it solo. I tried it (like you're doing) in my March trip. I wouldn't do it again. Rather have a tub for relaxation that you could lay back in and relax with jets.

With all of this said you might still want, but I wouldn't do it again unless I had someone to share the soaking tub with.
