For those that cannot be in Vegas for New Years Eve I feel it is my duty, and the duty of others who are there, to put you in the game. And so here is a TR from Vegas for New Years that will be live, drunk, full of questionable choices with a side order of poor decisions.

I had planned to go to Whitefish Montana for the weekend and in fact only cancelled my hotel there last week. My girlfriend who is known here as JR mentioned she hadn't had a kick ass NYE in as long as she could remember. Whitefish would have been fun, but it would not be Vegas. And so when the offers poured in from CET and the flight prices dropped a bit, we locked it up.

After gauging the offers forwarded to us with parties at Paris/Pho/Linq/Flamingo/Harrahs, we went with the party at The Linq. It is an 80's themed New Years party at Vortex. I have never been to Vortex and have no idea what to expect. I hear it is on a roof top somewhere and we get an open bar from 10:30-1. Should get a little sloppy and if everything goes to plan I will hit a Royal Flush at Tag just before we go up the party. At the moment all I have is a standard room which while free, is not exciting me too much. The host I was dealing with is suddenly no longer with CET but he did say he would request a suite for me. We shall see. Cross your fingers. WE don't check in until 10:30ish tomorrow assuming the plane is on time. Late check ins don't always bode well for upgrades. Wish me luck.

Plans other than NYE party??? Nothing as of yet. I have a friend and his wife that have been there since Boxing Day and are there until January 1st. That would require me to update my will if I went to Vegas for that long of a trip. We may try to meet up with them if time allows. Our good friend Vegas Beejay will also be in town and we are hoping to meet up with him as well for some adventure. We all rolled so horribly last time at the MGM craps tables that we simply have to do better this time. In fact, I believe the gambling gods owe us a heater at those same craps tables. We shall send you a picture of our chip racks over flowing with chips higher than $1. I also have another friend with a female companion that we are meeting up with at the Linq party as he got the same offer. So it should be an eventful weekend. I can already picture the discarded french fries from the room service trays that people put in the hallway as I type this.

Our flight leaves tomorrow around 9:00 pm and we land at 9:50. It is our intention to be on the casino floor with a drink in hand before midnight.

So it's good to have the board back up and running. I shall post again before we depart tomorrow afternoon. Time to pack a bag.

Special shout out to our good friend Macker who has some kind of horrible illness that required a visit to the doctor yesterday. Because his New Years will be a quiet one due to being home sick, I have committed to keeping him entertained this weekend with copious amounts of updates.

I will do my best on this one you guys to keep things entertaining. I am on a slightly more conscious budget due to the fact that I have a trip booked in February where I will be picking up a CET cruise voucher and then using that in March. Barely a week goes by where JR has not asked "Did you get that cruise voucher offer yet"? Despite being a "rich comped c+cksucker (BREEZY!! BREEZY!!!) I cannot afford three trips in three months unless I can do some damage control on the bankroll.

JR and I literally met the night before my trip to New Orleans and a CET cruise and so we shall have to go. The Tier II $750 airfare I earned last year has to be booked by January 31st 2017 and travel completed by June 30th. This gives us a limited window to go when you throw in our May trip that has now morphed from "Gaggles Annual Cancer Survivor Trip (About 12-13 years remission), Gaggles Annual 30th Bday, Mackers 2nd Anniversary Stag Party" In lieu of all of these titles, we are gonna need a clever acronym to shrink that down to fit into a TR title.
