Might explain why I do some things out of the ordinary, rather than sitting at the tables with my mouth closed and not creating some kind of experience for me to dwell on in the years to come. BTW, I haven't even started to tell you 'all about many of things we have done in AC and Vegas. But, here is a little bit of my everyday world.

5,000 gallon fuel spills flowing into the street. Mundane, but everyone is yelling at me to get it cleaned up. Just another day.

That was just a sampling, mind boggling at times.

And people ask me, you got the guts to pick up a baccarat shoe and throw it?

Lol, you know what, there was a sheriff at the casino that night when security escorted me out. I had a room there, security tells me, I can stay in the room but I can't enter the casino. I told him, screw your room, I will go get my stuff and check out, no problem. I got up in his face and he got up in mine. He told me, he could have me arrested for disorderly conduct if I maintain my level of volume. When I came back down to the front desk with my bag, I slammed the keys down on the counter and told the lady to check me out. He is there with 2 sheriffs. They said, "That is Glen, we know him, WTF"? I asked the security guy, you going to have them arrest me, really. The sheriff's told the security guy, come on back off he is leaving, there is no problem here. I told the sheriff I throw the shoe in the pit cause the dealer was chastising us and saying things to the players he had no business saying. The security guy is like, you are loud and not respecting me. I said, cause your a punk and don't know how to handle customers. The sheriff's got between us and all was good. Everyone knows me around these highways and we get the jobs done.

I need to go back to Vegas.

One last one, interstate all sheer ice, real bad, should have been closed to traffic but DOT left it open. 3 trucks got tangled up together, real bad spills also. Someone stops in the one lane moving to snap some pictures, of course there was secondary crashes at the scene of a bad crash already. Now I found out about Pokeman Go, LOL.

You see that 'wetness' on the road. It is sheer ice. If you want to do something real smart when you encounter situations like this weather. get out of your car, go walk on it. If you can't stand up without sliding, your car can't either. What's so difficult to figure out????

You must be referring to the State Police a couple of months back or so? Yep, I was drilling a gas tanker that was rolled over with 8,000 + gallons of gas, not diesel. So it was explosive. I was dressed in full bunker gear with air SCBA air tanks. The rookie state officer asks me like 30 times in 1 hour, how much longer before I can finish and get his interstate open. I am on a ladder and trying my best to drill all the compartments and monitor all the grounds and make sure everything is right. It is a long and tedious project. His interstate was going to be closed all day, guess no one told him. The guy keeps tugging at my ladder. I had enough. I came down and took off all my PPE and slammed it down on the ground and my helmet hit his shoes. He said he could arrest me for assault. I told him fine, stop bugging me. State Haz Mat was there, and three local fire departments with foam ready. It was a bad situation. Not blowing my whistle, there is not many companies that have the equipment or the experience to drill tankers on the highway upside down. All the fire chiefs come over and told the officer to chill out and go back to his car. I told him, about in a fit of rage, "I don't tell you how to write speeding tickets do I? So, go back there and direct traffic". All the F.D. guys laughed. 20 Seconds later I am in handcuffs. Fine, let's go to your barracks, I really didn't want to do the job anyway. Now who is going to do it,. not the fire department, they only stand by if the thing blows the frick up. We get to his barracks and the Captain is there. Blasts the rookie and tells him to sit down until he gets back. He takes the cuffs off of me and apologizes for his officer's short temper and ill judgments.

The captain gives me a ride back to the scene. There was no charges. Job took an hour and half longer and yes, I billed for the extra time. Made a huge bill even larger. I not going to be chastised by some 20 year old that knows nothing about what he is doing. He should have worried about traffic control and keeping the scene safe. I am not going to rush and risk safety for anything.

I have very few problems with law enforcement on the job. Today in fact we had a dangerous load of liquid refrigerated nitrogen that crashed 347 feet off the interstate and took out the undercarriage, the fuel tanks and most of the hoses on the bottom of the engine and truck cab. The state police and the other highway officials were nothing but super cooperative and only asked what we need and what they should do.

Nearly got heat stroke out of this one yesterday. Didn't even get arrested or threatened to get arrested! Even got praised by law enforcement! It's all a blur now, less and less exciting unless it is something really unusual. This guy passed out and crashed 347 feet off the interstate. Luckily it didn't rupture the tanker. That stuff is not fun to handle, burns really bad.
