Made first trip to Red Rock Canyon today. Can't believe it took me this long to do that. Will be more prepared next time and do more hiking. Enjoyed the scenario...even the moon was out, as you can see.

Got whooped at RR Casino. Played double deck and for down a quick $500 and battled back to within $100 of even but a new dealer came on and crushed both me and Sarah. I then played some VP and got blanked for another quick $500.

Not having had much food yet we stopped at Crab Corner off Rainbow and both for the Crab Cake sammich, and I got a bowl of crab soup. Amazing and perfect as always.

Sarah napped as usual and while she did that I snagged Mystere tickets and played some VP and BJ as I reported earlier. Wallet says I'm down $1500 including meals and such, so hoping for the big comeback tomorrow. Been an amazing trip this far. In bed at 1am and feeling it.

Found out on FB friends are in town so meeting them for lunch tomorrow. Literally haven't seen them in 10 years so this is a great treat. Beyond that we will hopefully have some naughty exploits and continued gaming success. Thanks for following along and for the great feedback.

Ah...home sweet home. The last few days were a blur, in a good way. I'll try to briefly recap and put a bow on this puppy.

So yes, I met the famous PT and he graciously showed me the Bungalow and let me come and go as I pleased all weekend. I didn't take advantage of his generosity as much as I could / should have, but this was more of an 'us' trip and we did our thing (and did so very well). Still humbled at PT's offer and generosity. Thank you.

So after Mystere we milled around the Venetian a bit and just couldn't find anything really appealing to play...not late night after some drinks and not at the levels they wanted on the tables for 3:2. The place is as beautiful as ever, but the gaming stinks. We caught an Uber back to Cosmo and called it a night around 1:30.

Monday was pretty exciting. Found out on FB some friends I haven't seen in literally 14 years were in Vegas for a convention, so we made plans to meet at MGM for lunch. So, so good to see them and catch up. We then took the monorail down to the Linq to play some VP at TAG and have a few beers (Rogue Hazelnut Brown Nectar was amazing). Hoofed down to Harrah's to play in the $5 party pit (I know....) and made $20 while we low rolled. Just horrible play all around, but we had fun, and at $5 a hand, who cares. We got one of those aqua massage' things at Bally's and man...that was great. For $40 it just kinda rejuvanated the body (for 10 minutes)...could have fallen asleep if given a few more minutes. Then walked back and she napped and I played, went on tilt for a good bit and donked off $2k in no time. A great moment in my life. Pretty proud.

Regrouped and grabbed dinner at Jaleo. Amazing as always. Ham, cheese, palella, bacon wrapped dates...goodness. $180 for 2 including tip...well worth it. Called my cabbie buddy and he grabbed us at Cosmo and took us downtown to low roll again...more pitch at Fremont. Our friends were down there too so we hung with them a bit more. Nothing of note to report...lost $150 playing $75 a hand over a few hours.

    Recap and thoughts:
    * Amazing trip. Sarah deserved this, and not from a 'swingers' perspective. We did enough of that and it was great. We're engaged but don't live together. She's a single Mom and just kills it. We relaxed, we had fun and we did exactly what we wanted, in our favorite city. Win.

*Cosmo Wrap Around Suite was amazing. I believe it cost me about $125 a night for the 4 nights..no complaints about that. Win.

*However, I booked three different reservations to get the four nights (freebie, Marriott points, paid room, etc). All reservations were fine. 3rd day, get to the room, key doesn't work. Ugh...call and ask for security. Call again, and 30 minutes later, we're finally in the room. Still have to go to desk to get new keys. Next day we get back, same damn thing. It would have been nice if someone alerted us we'd need new keys for the reservations. Not a huge deal, but you expect a little more from a classy joint like that. Loss.

*Red Rock Resort- so nice, great gaming, great service, great dealers. Win.
*Red Rock Canyon- why did it take me so long. Win.
*Mystere- can't say enough about it. Go see it. Theater was 1/2 full at the 9:30 show. Deserves to be full every time, even after all these years. Win
*Venetian- we hardly knew ye. Bad VP tables, horrible BJ tables ($25 and 6:5...wow). They've added more tables, but more isn't better. Loss

*Cab vs. Uber. Great friends with a well known social media cabbie...always love seeing him and he always goes out of his way to pick me up where ever and whenever. Took a ride with him to DT from Cosmo. $22.50...$50 total with tip (my choice). Uber home and took virtually same route and total was $11.99. Tip aside, huge advantage Uber. I will always support my buddy, but only him...Uber Win.

*Swinging (isn't this why I really wrote this report)?? Met several couples. All very nice folks, had a good time with each in different ways. Won't give too many details just out of good taste and being a gentleman...pictures were frowned upon (some don't mind, these folks did and that's fine). Couples came through. Single guys are all talk and single gals are all pretty much nutso (they're called Bluefish and Unicorns, respectively). Talked with many before the trip and had literally 5 guys lined up (not at the same time) to hopefully land one for a good time and not ONE showed up as promised. Not one. Same with 3 girls we had talked to. We're quite selective so we go through a process to ensure safety, security, we're all on the same page, so planning to us is essential. We won't just 'wing it' and 'find anyone', so that part stunk, but it hardly put a damper on our great time. The Green Door, as I wrote, was interesting. We'll probably go back again during football playoffs and check it out again. Since we made a video there we get in free, so why not! Swinging wasn't a complete win or loss. Draw is more like it.

*Beef ribs eggs benny is the shit. WIN x 2

*Street 'entertainers' downtown...LOSS. Wow...some folks have mailed in life and showed up in the little circles downtown.

    *PT- WIN in every facet.

*All of you for reading my ramblings. Huge win.

*Overall, down $4k for the trip. Not my worst, but certainly most fun I've had losing that much. Need more self-discipline in down moments. That's a me problem. Loss.
