    Trips to Vegas:

The time has almost come for my annual trip to Mecca. This will be my 8th trip to Vegas, and my first since last May. I got absolutely pounded last year, losing nearly my entire bankroll in the first 6 hours I got there. I luckily hit a good jackpot playing HL slots when I was down to my last grand, and got at least enough back to have gambling money for the remainder of the trip. I've hopefully learned my lesson from that trip to not chase above my means, but really just hope to actually win some damn money!! I'm 0-5 on my last five trips, and so I think I'm due. And with my luck Asian coming with me, how can I lose?!

I'll be flying in from North Dakota and touching down around 9pm on Thursday. The first night we are staying DT at the D, and the remaining three nights comped at the Mirage. I'll be going with my brother (I'll call C), best friend and lucky Charm (I'll call S), and my sexy ass girlfriend (I'll call M). Bankroll will be 7K, willing to lose up to 10K if I need to chase early. I'm mostly a slot player, but I'll be playing craps and roulette as well. A few sports bets will surely be in order as well. Not a fan of blackjack, as we have charitable gambling here in ND and I play it at the bars way too often to enjoy it in Vegas.

    Other plans include:
    - zipline while downtown
    - a few shows, exact which ones TBD
    - Hoover dam hard hat tour, M has never been to Hoover dam before
    - hoping to catch Daniel Tosh at the Mirage Friday night
    - few good restaurants still TBD
    - lots of drunken Vegas sex :)
    - Dolphin Habitat, M is frickin obsessed with dolphins
    - shopping - anyone have suggestions for reasonably priced shopping?

Super excited and really can't wait to get to there! I have a good group of people coming with me that should make this one of the more enjoyable trips. I've never done a trip report before, so no guarantees I'll be able to keep this going live. I certainly hope to though!

Good luck on your upcoming trip. Almost losing your BR on the first day is a bummer - been there done that haha. As for reasonable shopping, the shops at Planet Hollywood (Miracle Mile Shops) have moderately priced merchants - what you would find in any middle-tier mall across America (Victoria Secret, H&M, American Eagle, etc).

Saw his show there a couple years ago, and it was one of the funniest things I've ever witnessed. Think my side is still sore from laughing.

    Good luck ....

I keep telling myself I am going to do that zipline .. but that would mean two things have to happen. 1. I have to be downtown and 2. I have to somewhat sober. ... and neither seem to happen, let alone at the same time

The zip line is actually pretty cool. I never did the one downtown, though, because a buddy of mine and I got kicked out of the line after trying to redline the contract they were making us sign. Total asshole lawyer moment. It was the right thing of them to do. Haha.

I did, however, do the Flight Line thing out in Bootleg Canyon, run by the same people. Absolutely spectacular.

That is BRILLIANT! As someone who has had to redline many a contract (although not a lawyer!) I find that hilarious!
