I hadn't visited the Beau in over five years. Mostly because I was not overly impressed with anything they had to offer! I was however very impressed with Fallen Oaks, really enjoyed playing it five years ago.

So, me and a few friends decided to make the trip again. A couple of single guys and 3 married couples. 7 of us played golf, (6 guys and me, [emoji23] love it!)

It's not easy getting to Biloxi from Houston...and not cheap! If we drive, it's about seven hours so we opted to fly...

Back to Atlantis again for the third time this year, as I was here earlier in the year in June on a CET 7* trip, and was back last month on an NCL cruise for two days.

Slept 2 winks last night and at the airport waiting for an 8:35AM flight to Nassau, Bahamas.

I booked two rooms at the Royal Tower (one fully comped with $500 FB) and the second at a casino rate, no FB - hopefully I get some of that comped at the back end, but must make sure that I'm rated properly.
Nothing firm planned...
Is there any downside to each booking a room in order to get the $100 per day credit and the $250 slot play? Like are there fees you end up being charged for the room? Or if I explained the situation, would they give it to us without the hassle of booking 2 rooms? Thanks for any advice!

Reno ain't Vegas, and on some levels that's not such a bad thing. As we get the occasional Reno gambling and getaway question here, I was thinking a sticky might be helpful, a place to collect our varied knowledge.

I'll start with a few see/do items:

Nevada Museum of Art -- for a town this size, this museum rocks.
Fleischmann Planetarium and Science Center -- not the Lowell or OMSI, but a good diversion, particularly for kids.
Reno Aces -- AAA ball in a great stadium right downtown....
So I decided to drive about 75 mins to Diamond Jo for a few hours because Geotwink was in the Twin Cities for a bachelorette weekend. On the way I stopped at a gin joint on the way and slapped in $60 on a $3 pull tab box.

I play mostly craps and BJ and slots when I want to (or better)hang out with the wife. This will be mostly cards since they don't have a craps table.
Slow start partnering $100 each in a $1 machine with the SO. We muddle around for a hour and cash out dead even. That's cool, she buys out my share of...
