has anyone ever tried this strategy?

i will use this example on a $5 table with 3x,4x,5x odds. and the point being a 6. starting bankroll $250

1st bet
$5 pass line
$5 dont pass line with $12 on dont pass line odds.
if the point hits wait for a NEW shooter.

2nd bet
$5 pass line
$5 dont pass line with $24 on dont pass line odds.
if the point hits wait for a NEW shooter.

3rd bet
$10 pass line
$10 dont pass line with $48 on dont pass line odds.
if the point hits wait for a NEW shooter....

I was looking at the Wizard of odds craps survey and "Casino Royale" offers 100x odds bets.......

I've only played craps maybe 10 hours tops and bet the Don't pass and lay close to maxodds on the 4 & 10 and low odds on the 5 & 9......

I realize with a $5 don't pass bet and a 4-10 is rolled on the come out roll that I can bet $500 and if win get $250.....

What is the frequency rate that the shooter 7's out before a 4 or 10 is rolled...percentage wise....If the percentage of 7 out is great,...

My strategy is an iron cross supplemented with lay 4 bet equal to 2x the sum of my other bets, I also throw some money on the hard 4... reducing the 4 loss to one combination.

I enjoy this strategy.. there is always something going on and I do fairly well on it.

Of course 2 or 3 non hardway 4's in a row kills me

I usually play 2 deck pitch or 2 deck shoe games but I just looked at the Wizard of Odds BJ survey and now have a question....

At Treasure Island, and possibly elsewhere, they have in the HL room>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>,

2 deck stand s17,,,, double after split............HA is .25......

6 deck shoe stand s17,,,,, double after split,,, resplit Aces,,, and SURRENDER..HA .28.....

I like the idea of being able to surrender in the 6 deck shoe, but also in a 6 deck shoe there is a chance...

the subject title is a simple one, but here's what I want to know: when is it time to walk away?

My story: I'm a BJ player through and through. I've had heaters just like anyone else, Sadly, they rarely seem to last very long and thus don't create the worry of "when do you walk away". Its clear the heater is over, its time to go or more frequently, it's time to grind back the losses just sustained in the hopes some positive variance will come your way.

Bellagio Squamish About Winners?

I had an interesting experience cashing out at the Bellagio cage this morning.

I had turned about 10k into 35k over the course of a couple late night / early morning blackjack sessions at the tail end of all night poker sessions.

I go to the cage to cash out my chips I had accumulated this week during my trip, and the table games manager (I think that's what her name tag said) comes to me and tells me, "We are going to go ahead and cash you out, but we are flat betting you".

when playing single or double deck BJ, and you have a sufficiently low two card starting position that you find yourself at <17 after 4 card total...do you take the fifth card or do you believe that in such a situation you are doomed to pull a high card and bust?

Do you follow a standard betting progreesion? I tend to not press my wager whenever I think it is going to change between banker and player. I think I am leaving some money on the table doing so. I also need to find a good balance between pressing my bet and making sure I am maintaining some of my bank roll.

Has anybody been to Lucky dragon yet? I was curious how busy it was and what table minimums and maximums are. With it being mostly baccarat is is mostly mini or midi? They said they were going to have Pai Gow. Is Pai Gow tiles available or just poker? Anything else cool or notable?

Non-counting situation. I think it's probably way against the odds that the next card is going to be 5 or less. I always stick to what the book says, but have been burned more times than I can remember. Since I'm one of those people who craves 3rd base, it's especially painful to take the dealer's bust card.

Blackjack Tournament

I finally got an offer that includes a BJ tournament entry at the Venetian. Very excited to participate in one of these, but I need some advice since I've never played in one. Headed out 1/13 for 4 nights.

Structure is a 2 day tournament- don't know the amount of chips received to start. There's a $50k pool of free play and it appears to be a $250 entry.

So, how do I go about this? Small ball early? Get a feel for the shoe and adjust accordingly? Watch others bets / trends?

Blackjack splitting tens

This was my first time at a table this week at Winstar, so I'm a big newbie to it. I thought it was not a good idea to split tens. My friend did this a few times even when I told her it wasn't a good move. Another guy came into the game and he was splitting tens.

I left the game cause I was getting my ass kicked- even the dealer commented on how much my hands sucked. I just watched for a while and someone was trying to split tens again but a new guy at the table--who obviously knew...

Heard a podcast the other day posted by the LV Gambler's Book Club, about Kevin Moore an entrepreneur who wrote a book about his experiences playing UTH as a hobby, titled My First 55,000 Hands.

I had never considered playing this carney game before, but will likely add it to my rotation of BJ and Craps after reading up on basic strategy found at wizardofodds.com and reading Moore's book.

Might be a fun diversion. Any thoughts?

Talked to a guy on my last trip at the craps table. Every roll he would bet a $10 boxcar and if it hit, he'd parlay it. He ended up losing it every time while I was at the table (about an hour). However, he said while he loses it frequently, if he can hit it back to back, it's 10 grand. Basically he needs to hit it once a trip and he covers his bankroll.

the longest I have witnessed was a shoe where it went 24 Bankers with one in there.

A few months back i hop off the plane and headed to the New Orleans (buddy wanted to play in a quick blackjack tourney, that he actually won 2k) anyways i sat down at a blackjack table and i put 5 bucks on the bonus well the cards got dealt and i had suited hearts of queens looked over at her top card and she had a suited heart of queen as well i was like shit that pays well turns out it paid 250-1 so i won 1k my first hand...
